The mission of the West Hartford Public Schools Nursing Services Department is to assist all students to attain and maintain their maximum level of wellness. To achieve this mission the department will facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management as needed; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy and learning.
WHPS Nursing Services Department uses the Coordinated School Health Model to plan programs and interventions that best meet the needs of the students.
