Shery Bober received a BA in French and MA in Linguistics/TESOL from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  She has taught French at Norfeldt since 1996.  She created and revised the French curriculum and has presented the World Language Department 5-year review to the Curriculum Professional Development Council.  She administers annually Le Grand Concours, the French National Contest of the American Association of Teachers of French, and is the French Club advisor at Norfeldt.  She has received the Jane Graveen Award-COLT (Connecticut Organization of Language Teachers), a statewide annual award for excellence in Foreign Language in Elementary Schools, and has been a presenter at COLT and New England School Development Council conferences.

Sean Harris received a BA in acting/directing from DeSales University and his MFA in Acting from New School University:  New School of Drama/Actors studio.   He has been the director of theater at Hall High School since 2005.  He produces 13 productions a year, directs 3-5 productions a year, and teaches 4 levels of theater classes at Hall.   He’s the advisor to the Ethnic Dance Club, Improv. Club, The Answer (select improv. troupe), and the acting/voice coach for Mock Trial, Pops and Jazz and Madrigal Feast.  In addition, he is the theater education consultant for Hall, Conard, Lewis Mills High School and Playhouse on Park.  He has been the Artistic Director of Playhouse on Park since 2009 and worked with the West Hartford Summer Arts Festival from 2006-2009.

Clare Taylor received a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Central Michigan University and a Master of Education from University of Hartford.  She has taught at Duffy School since 1998; she has taught grade 3 and currently teaches grade 5.  She has organized 3 teams for the National Kid’s Lit Quiz reading competition and has implemented a district-wide program to map fire hydrants in town.  She received a Japan Fulbright Memorial Scholarship to study abroad for 3 weeks in 2007, won an NEA Innovation Grant for GPS education program (2004), and won the CECA Technology Integration award for the state of Connecticut in 2008, and is the 2012 recipient of the John McCormack Award for Teaching Excellence. She will represent Connecticut at the Salute to Education Gala in Washington, D.C.
